What’s with us and rivers? We’re just drawn to them and this fixer upper on the Kinnickinnic River has a ton of appeal and so much potential! With most of the hard demo-work already done, we were able to get started on the fun stuff earlier. We freshened up the exterior colors, that gorgeous stair railing and added my favorite kitchen to date – one with so much sunlight and a huge area to bake in. I love a smaller house – cozy with less space to have to clean. This one is 1540 sf but still feels big and due to the kitchen and living room “wings” keeps noises separate from the sleeping areas. There are so many spots to entertain including a large front patio and a sizeable screen porch and a small area off the kitchen for a grill. The property itself is like a park – huge front lawn, fantastic back yard and mown paths that meander through a little woods to the river. This was a quick project for us – 4 months – but we worked long days to get it done. Now it’s back to TN to tackle the A-Frame!
