For the motorheads: This bus is an 2009 International with a heavy duty chassis and diesel engine for better mileage and towing capacity. Rolls down the road beautifully at 65-75mph! Oh, and it also has a “garage” in the back for Doug’s tools…and my barbell….
For the remodelers: We took everything out of a crashed 2021 Cherokee 5th wheel camper and fitted it into this bus. And by everything, we mean all fixtures, cabinets, paneling, electrical, holding tanks, water heater, etc. Bought some chairs (should have been black, excuse the messed-up color scheme but the price was right!), added some flooring and ceiling panels, lots of trim, a bit of stain & paint and voila!
For the campers: Field-tested and the big bathroom is a major perk. Farm sink is functionally cute and the fridge is electric and HUGE. We added a decent mattress because, “Have you been to the Sit and Sleep lately? Yuk”….or the mattresses these super expensive campers come with is crap.
For the record: Doug Doornink is a genius.
